In the Los Cabos Municipality, public education is available through various systems. Each student is responsible for providing school uniforms and school supplies. Purchasing these supplies can be a tremendous challenge and for many a huge financial burden.
To aid those in need, the Municipality invites residents and visitors to help meet this financial challenge by donating backpacks filled with school supplies to be distributed to each needy child
This program has assisted hundreds of children in the past, and the Advisory Board is encouraging those who want to participate to consider making a donation of backpack(s) yes, you can donate more than one.
Filled backpacks can be dropped off at the CATTAC [Centro de Atencion Turistica/Tourist Attention Center] office located along the Cabo San Lucas marina on or before August 25, 2023. Please refer to the announcement below for school supplies to fill the backpacks.
This program will make a huge impact on the lives of many youths in the Los Cabo Community. Your help is needed for the success of the project. Give until it feels good!

Attention Los Cabos community!
The H. XIV City Council of Los Cabos, in collaboration with the Municipal Tourism Department and the Advisory Council of Foreign Residents, invites all citizens to participate in a cleaning campaign in the framework of the International Day of the Earth.
This important event will take place on Saturday, April 22 at the Héroes de 1847 Elementary School in Cabo San Lucas, starting at 7:00 a.m. This is an opportunity for all of us to come together for the same cause and contribute to the care and protection of our planet.
The cleaning will consist of collecting trash and waste in the streets and parks near the school. Come and join this cause! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors, and let’s work together to create a cleaner and healthier environment for our community.
Don’t forget to bring your gloves, face masks, and comfortable clothes! We are confident that together we can make a great impact on our environment.
