May 27 H+ Plus Hospital Tour

On May 27, 2015, about 20 interested individuals met for the weekly breakfast meeting of Knights of Cortés at Villa Serena.  On this day, the spouses and significant others were invited to breakfast followed by a tour of the newly opened and fully operational H+ Hospital located in the Koral Center on the Carretera Transpeninsular Highway midway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

Upon reaching the medical facility, the group expanded to about 30 individuals interested in seeing the new facility. Paulino Davó Sayrols, hospital director and CEO and co-founder of the hospital greeted the group along with Vanessa Vela Corarrubias, in charge of Public Relations for the hospital, and proceeded to conduct the tour while answering questions.

The tour included the trauma center, mammography, tomography, ultrasonography, digital radiology and imaging, blood bank, and critical care units, as well as one of the 16 spacious hospital rooms.

Topic: Being a race car driver and how daily driving compares to race car driving.
Dan races with the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) in a Spec Racer Ford (SRF) Gen3.  His “home” circuit is Portland International Raceway in Portland Oregon but also races at other circuits. He has also been teaching high performance driving and race car driving for 8 years in Portland.

Brian Solomon Speaks at Knights of Cortés Breakfast Meeting. 

About twelve members of the men’s breakfast club attended the weekly meeting of the Knights of Cortés, along with a few guest ladies, to hear Brian Solomon, owner of Solomon’s Landing restaurant, talk about his role in a new TV series entitled, Destination Baja.  Solomon elaborated on his association with Bill Boyce, a marine biologist, pro-angler, long-time Baja resident and TV host of several award winning television productions who will be exploring Baja Sur with 13 episodes of prime TV.  brian-solomon-knights-cortes-0634-2

Solomon, who has recently been named Associate Producer, elaborated on how the series will bring attention about Los Cabos and Baja Sur to over 128 million homes in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America on NBC Sport Network, the Pursuit Channel and the World Fishing Network.
